Her novel Chicken Soup, for the Preteen Soul & the 7th Heaven episode No One Endures But Change also featured her recollections of the incident. Mitchell lost her close friend Angela in a road accident. The young singer was just fifteen years old. Mitchell found this incredibly difficult and Angela was the inspiration for her song Angel the song, which is on her debut album. On the 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she also talked about the experience.
