Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. The early work of her has been described as extending from "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. It has also included influences from electronic music hip-hop, and rock. Her lyrics frequently address science fiction and feminist themes. She has released five studio albums. Grimes is a native of Vancouver then moved to Montreal. The singer began her solo career in the late 2000s. In 2010, she dropped two albums via Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. Later, she joined 4AD and gained acclaim when she released its third studio album Visions which came out in the year 2012. Visions contains the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" which was given the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Her fourth studio album Art Angels was released in 2015. It received high praise by critics and a variety of magazines voted it to be the top album of the year. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album. Grimes is an official judge of Alter Ego, a music contest. She also was part of Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game.
